FUNDY WEIR FISHERMEN'S ASSOCIATION:
AT A GLANCE

A Bit of Background
Fundy Weir Fishermen's Association is a non-profit organization that aims to protect the herring weir shut-off fisheries in the Bay of Fundy and Nova Scotia by managing cultural and economic sustainability for current and future generations.

Fundy Weir Fishermen's Association represents the herring weir and shut-off fishermen based in southwestern New Brunswick.

When incorporated on March 5, 1973, the Fundy Weir Fishermen's Associations objectives were to provide a forum where persons interested in weir fishing could associate, to make rules for the regulation of any branch of weir fishing, and to generally improve the weir fishing community.
