Here at Fundy North Fishermen's Association, our mission is to support fishermen, promote healthy fisheries, and encourage viable fishing communities in Southwestern New Brunswick.

 

As an organization, we see the value and the strength in working together for a common good. We want to be a catalyst for positive change in our fisheries which is why supporting adaptive management, owner operator, and fleet separation are critical items to our mandate. 

 

Since opening in 1989, we have been driven by a strong family ethic. Across our district, fishing is still very much a family business; most of our crew members are related to their captain and in our region we benefit hugely from having a lot of young people entering the fisheries. 

 

Consequently, our fisheries are really an intergenerational affair where our captains mentor our future captains.
